Question
Hey Guys,
I am planning on trading in my 08 C300 4Matic for the new GLK. How do you go around seeing if the price they are giving to me is decent or too low? I am trying to find examples of some C's on the autotrader but all are dealerships no private. Also I was planning on doing a private sale but the econonmy now no one is buying 50 grand cars especially used I could try tho but best bet would be a dealer. The GLK demo is suppose to arrive end of the week where I am located. What offerings should I make (price wise)?
Thanx
Unfortunately you will take a bath on your C. I would say that they should really give you a deal on the GLK as well as a good price for your C. I have found that Edmunds Trade In Value tends to be closest to the actual "Black Book"/Auction Book values. If you can get Edmunds or better, they are likely treating you well.
Good Luck....unfortunately, you may need it...
Well at the moment I decided to scratch the GLK. Reason why my local dealer is giving my $10 000 off a 2008 brand new ML320 CDI with some decent options. They only have 3 left so I have to jump on it quickly. But when I get my C in for Service A. The manager said he will give me a quote. He said that they are mainly looking for chips, dent,is the windshield cracked, has it been in any accidents. But he said I would be fine looks like since usually people put around 18 000km's a year and I only put 6 000km's.
