Rolex GMT-IIc Black Dial, Rolex Explorer II Polar, Invicta Pro Diver Pepsi homage automatic, 11 Fossils, a Seiko and a Timex.
I've got the 2013 Hublot catalog sitting here, and there are a few interesting pieces in it. I kinda want an E250 BlueTec though...
No real interest in Breitling or Omega here. They are some nice timepieces, but I'm smitten with the crown.

Casino solar atomic for accuracy. Rolex for when accuracy doesn't matter (could be their slogan!), but conditions might be more rugged such as on vacation.

I have two I switch between. Casio silver/metal, and casio black neoprene bands. They were about $15 each. I guess I'm not the watch type, and I also like the retro look of them. I used to have a very nice kinetic seiko, but it stopped about 10 years back.

Anybody have any recommendations for a good daily watch? Preferably below $300. lol. This will also be my first watch.
In my brief research, I've seen a lot of talk about the Orient Mako and Capital watches. Opinions on these?

If brand image and status are issues, someone else will need to chime in. I never heard of the two you mentioned.

Ok, now seriously. Because as a Mercedes, some watches are a really fine piece of engineering and art. Many people like to appreciate both, and of course the owners are proud and want to share it.

For day by day use, I like the Seiko Automatic movement.

One Seiko chrono, one Citizen solar. I use the Citizen more than the Seiko because it had a black face and white hands, and I can see it. Its eight years old and has never had a problem of any kind.
I have my Dad's Rolex Submariner, too. It does not keep time well, and it weighs a ton. In an airplane, any sort of g-force turn or other abrupt maneuver will make your arm hurt. But its neat, and it was his, so I'll keep it forever.

If you don't understand it, you don't have to read or post in this thread...

Casio G-Shock Mudman
Because, you know, you never really know when you are going to fall into quicksand. But when you do it's nice to know the watch will work for 2 years guaranteed!
