Question doorseals + rain

is it normal that rain passes the outer door rubber & the felt,
and is only stopped by the inner rubber?

(posted about this before, but then it was specifically after
WASHING the car, which seemed normal when using high pressure)

never paid much attention if this happened with my previous cars,
but it seems a bit weird....?

thanks reply.

the thing is i'm talking RAIN here.

and it's not "just moisture" on the inside
there's quite a bit of water resting between the door & rubber seal.

but maybe i'm makin a big deal out of nothing...?

It's normal.

And I've never been rained on like we have on our travels to your part of France - some truly memorable occasions, including one time when the only thing to do was to pull to the side of the road and wait - it was like a bucket had been turned upside down on hundreds of square kms at the same time.

Yeah It's normal.. happens to me too when I wash my car or when it rains. As long as the rain isn't leaking into your seats or rug, you're fine.
