Dual Tailpipe
hi everyone, merry x'mas.
I'm a w204 c200k owner. Suddenly I am interested to get another tailpipe at the rear like those V6 models c230/c350.
I have seen some photos of car bottom part. It seems there is another opening on the center muffler and on the right hand side, there is space and heat shield "reserved". So I was wondering if an OEM end muffler can then be installed on a plug & play basis. Any ideas?

you can, but not something I would really advice in terms of performance.
you would need to custom some pipes aft resonator connecting the second muffler to the piping. On the M272 we have two separate pipe coming down from each bank that goes 2-in 2-out through the resonator and then to each muffler. On the M271 you only have one pipe, so you'll need to custom a Y pipe for the second muffler.

thanks, so the other "unused" opening of the centre muffler has no use at all?
Is there any dual exhaust system specially designed for C200K available from Brabus, Wald etc. tuning companies?

There is a member on these forums that used the centerbox. I believe he just uncapped or made a hole in it. I understand though. You are just looking for the additional muffler and tubing.
