just wondering what people thought of these, anyone installed them? I know that some of the group buy people are waiting to receive theirs though.

I installed them today and i have to say that whilst dusk was setting they looked 'spot-on' white. However, later in the evening (while the wife called me a demented rabbit for staring at the car headlights ), i thought they looked liked they a had a tint of blue. Hmm. also noted it depended on the angle that the lights were viewed from.

for those of you that dont have them, i had the Polarg's before and i might even change back. not sure, should have left one side with Polarg's! will do so tommorrow.

Hmm. had another look. I'd say the blue is very visible. not to my taste.

OK, found another place selling some for £4 - will try them and post if any good!

I would say they match 6000K. I had sold mine to someone who already recieved them (think on BenzWorld) and he was going to send pics.
The MB lights have a very conservative color imo... They are not a very Xenon-ish color. I'm going to get some 6000K bulbs and then enjoy the work

Oh, and all the orders should be shipped by tomorrow (Sunday evening, tick tack )

true, i think that 6000k sounds about right. Strange thing is, it seems to vary with the time of day! When i looked at them during the daytime, they looked nothing less than blue. I thought argh! just before dusk, they looked white.

still, something to tinker with!

They light they emit is white, but just like a 6000K Xenon the light itself (when looking at it) will be blueish because of the transformation of wavelenght. Light coming to you or away from you is different colors sometime, just like sound (ambulance coming up & passing you).
I did notice I got "numb" to it, I mean I think it's because I always had the OE lights and incand bulbs that I thought that yellow was white. But now after getting used to it you know that this is really cold white, the way it should be. Think it's hot, 6000K matc is ideal imo

But hey if you don't like, I'm sure that there are plenty of people who want to buy it from you so you never loose money actually

I'm a little handy with a soldering iron so was going to consider changing led heads or try that tint paint another site referred to. then again just about to post about my woe with MB...so who knows!

Just wonder, if they made this LED in amber color as well?

Yes they make it in amber so it can be used as signal bulb. They don't have the resistor option but I think it will be same price as LED eyelids.

edit; LEDs should be arriving today/tomorrow/Monday I hope! POST PICS LOL

Getting into a second round of LED GB, lots of people PM'd me so... Besides that ECS kit is a rip-off and I can send you double the LEDs at the same price lol

£4 will not get you a LED without dash error. Unless you are going to hack up your wires to put a power resistor in between.

true, sorry didnt really explain myself was referring to just that for £4. was gonna change the led head on original resistor based led.

I'm talking about the one that you're selling but in amber (w/resistor). It would be nice to has it in amber for side lights (US model).

anyone notice that the eyelid housing is factory tinted blue I did the resistor mod (thanks to got_thang) but i wanted pure white and now its a blue. Not perfect in my books but maybe I'll change my xenons to match the color (10000k maybe?), now that would be impressive.

Good luck seeing in front of you when it's raining. With 10K HID's your light output goes down considerably. Although it does give a sick look.

6000K is close without losing too much light
8000K is perfect match imo, it's already very blue

10000K will be too purple/violet
