C350

So, where was your C made?

I assumed they were all made in Stuttgart. Our C350 was made in South Africa. I don't know if this is good or bad. Love the car!

None are made in Stuttgart, they're built in the following:

-Bremen, Germany
-Sindelfingen, Germany
-East London, South Africa
-Cairo, Egypt
-Minas Gerais, Brazil

Mine was built in Bremen, but I've read good things about the South African plant as well.

South Africa...would have preferred German, but I'd have to drive a German built one to see if there's any difference.

If your number has a M, you're so lucky

it means Woking (England) and they built the SLR. The G-Class is bulit in Graz

Mercedes Benz's headquarters are located in Stuttgart, if memory serves, thereby making Stuttgart one of the great, if not THE greatest, automotive cities in the world, being home to two of the most revered marques on the planet.

The only other city that comes close would probably be Maranello, which is home to Ferrari and Maserati.

actually the main Mercedes factory is in Untertuerkheim district of Stuttgart along with the famous Mercedes museum along with its headquarters. The town is the birthplace of Daimler cars.

The Porsche factory is in Zuffenhausen which is next to Stuttgart. Sindelfingen is across the autobahn from Stuttgart. All of these places look like one city on the map, much like Los Angeles.

Was told Engine+gearbox+Diff etc from Germany, rest of car made in East London SA. The Monroe shocks are from SA Company, spoke to them beforehand.
