It's not me doing the work, they charge list price through parts and 1 hour labor (even though it may only take 15 minutes).

I have a C350 sport and would like to replace to the lux emblem. Is it an easy DYI?. The dealership told me I had to make a bigger hole. Any advice and where to buy it please?

It is a direct fit. If anything the base of the luxury ornament is a bit smaller than the flat sport badge. The emblem swap takes maybe 30 secs to a min to perform...depends on if you want to clean the trapped crude up before installing the new one...

ebay tends to have these from time to time and you can usually pic them up from between $25 to $50 although you may have to be patient as sometimes the bidding moves up pretty quick...likely a body shop looking for one...

Very easy, 30 seconds max like C300sport said. Open the hood, look underneath where the emblem is, there are two tabs you push in on either side and it comes right out. The luxury emblem when bought new will slide right into place and then all you do is give the base a quarter turn and you're done. You can barter with your parts guy, it cost me ~CAD$30 from the dealership. Basically whatever the parts guy quotes you, take 20% off and go from there.

Here you go. Painted the chrome part Palladium Silver to match and the inner silver part gloss black.
