Block Map option in Navi Menu

Block Map option in Navi Menu
What this option exactly does? Just blocks a certain area of the MAP so the route guidence will not look for roads in that area and find an alternative route using other nearby roads?
If you do block a certain part of the Map , how do you unblock?
I wanted to know this before blocking the map and later finding out you can not unblock it now.

no... i m talking about being able to block the map , so that navigation will ignore that area when planning a route. I tried it yesterday but it blocks in minimum 200M square block, so can not block only a certain road.
