Cimarron?
So I was driving through Tacoma yesterday morning, southbound, and realized that I hadn't seen another 2008/9 C for some time. Not just yesterday, but for quite some time.
Mind began to wander, and to wonder: have Mercedes created another Cimarron? Caddy really messed up on that, and the consumers voted with their pocketbook. Now the C is no Cimarron, it's not a cheap rebadging of some econobox, but it is also not hugely popular.
I'm thinking that the down economy hasn't helped at all, but when I can go for a month and see maybe 1 or 2 other Cs, that's not good. Where I live, it's not at all uncommon to see 3 or 4 Mercedes at an intersection. They seem to be everywhere. But they're older Cs, and Es, and some Ss. Not very many new Cs.
Ideas?

2013 C300 Sport Black Darth V3.0
I see a few everyday, just Monday I saw my first C63 in the steel. My wife thought it was no big deal till he put the peddle down and the car roared and took off. She asked me why we didn't get one instead of the 300 then I told her the price.

2019 GLA 250 - I am in purgatory right now...
Ron,
I saw a C63 at Massapequa when I was in there for service last. I thanked the service tech for prepping my rental before he even had a chance to say hello LOL.
I also see C300 / 350's all the time. Maybe not every day, but 3 or 4 per week.

No need to worry!!
Looks like C Class sales were up over 13% for 2008 even though company wide totals were down. Seems to bode well for the C not being remembered like the Cimarron, Edsel or Azteck.

Seattle - Tacoma is not really Mercedes territory. I've seen a handful of Cs in Bellevue, but not anywhere else. I did get a good look at a black c350 in the office parking garage.

I see at least 20+ C's each day.... plenty of AMG's as well. Of course I do work in Beverly Hills so that has something to do with it. It is fair to say that there are more Bentley GT's on these streets than C's.

cimmaron?? that car was a joke from day one, the w204 is the best designed, best engineered entry level MB every developed. My car has most bells and whistles than my $100k Wald BMW 650 convertible, and I get a ton of complements everyday

I see about 5-6 new C's every day in Constanta (310,000 inhabitants, second largest urban area in Romania, after Bucharest) and I do not think I will see many more as beginning from December last year they tripled the tax named "pollution tax", which for my C220 CDI was 1760 Euro (2350 USD) in November.

I don't see too many w204. I think it's because it's only the 2nd year of production. People are still driving their W203 and definitely because the economy is bad.
I see mostly 300, I think mine is the only C350 I have seen around here.

I don't see too many C's compared to 3ers in the Seattle area. But I'm just fine with that.
The ones I do see are usually black, white, or palladium silver.
Still yet to see a C63.

The W204 is rare sight here in Denver and the ones I do see are mostly black or white -- I just happy with that because I don't want to drive what everyone else drives. Most of my condo's garage consist of bimmers, Audis and luxury SUVs, and I had the only Mercedes in the building until a neighbor got a SL55 a few months ago.
When I was in Toronto over the holidays I did see a fair number of Cs, but nowhere as many as the 3-series. However I did see a few C63.
