My first oil change
I am going to the dealership tomorrow to get my first oil change done. The reason why i am letting them do it bc i want them to see that i do come in and get something done to my car so they will know i drop in for a visit once in awhile, but the next oil change i'll be doing it myself. What should i tell my dealer to check as well??? software upgrade, wipers, light bulbs, fluid levels and a car wash... anything else? Thanks

haha no wash why not? its very cold out and they actually do hand wash here at this dealership. Is $130 reasonable for an oil change at the dealership?

Dealer washes also include swirls! Those mitts, rags, sponges, etc are not very well cared for. If they hit the floor (and they do), they pick them back up and continue washing...putting all that sand, crud, etc into your paint. I'd rather leave the car dirty than have the dealer wash it.

went to dealer last week for A service...asked them to update telematics....never happened....asked them not to wash the car...but they did that anyways and half assed it...i could tell because the dust on the car was just moved around in circles and they "cleaned" the front and not the back

Dealerships may do a "good" job washing your car, but they wash tons of them everyday. That means lack of attention to detail. Plus... they wash cars because they have to and not because they want to... and that means the world of difference quality wise.
The other reason why I don't have them wash it is so that I can see any exterior bumps/dents/etc that they caused while it's in the shop. I don't want them to "clean up" the mistakes they've made, if they have made them. So far, I've been impressed with my dealership.
