Has anyone tried installing the new ipod/mp3 media interface (375 dollars) into a C class from a GLK. Same radio, is it Plug and Play???

Where can you buy the media interface? I'm looking for the same thing for the new C class. It's 375$ as a factory option and I had my dealer look into how I can purchase it separately, but they are having a tough time figuring out the availability of it as a separate option - apparently it has not been released as a separate option for purchase yet. Maybe soon this may be available?

But if the GLK media interface can be purchased separately not and works in the C class, I'm going to do this right away!!!

Yes, my dealer here in tampa had the same problem. The media interface option does not come up for sale as a separate option, only as an installed option at the Vehicle prep center. The numbers that come up, are for the old crappy interface. Write to MBUSA.com and let them know u want this option!!
I did and they got nasty, said THE OPTION WILL NOT BE OFFERED AT THIS MOMENT FOR THE CURRENT HEADUNIT. So write and request it, if they can put the über expensive universal media interface, 1850 dollars.

Anyway, the headunits for GLK and C class are the same, just need to add the media interface to the C, but I dont know if it is Plug and Play. If it is then u can buy it and drop it in. I have Steve at MBNL checking on it, for 3-400 dollars not the $1800.
