For audio 20, I get a screen in Engg mode under the choice of "sound" which is labelled TA vol. This page has 3 settings. What is TA vol?

This is how I understand ta volume. I think it may be "to amp" vol I.e. aux/ipod. dTA is digital to analog output to amplifier? TA dLmin I think is digital line like cd or mp3 cd line to amp level? No one seems to know.

I wonder if the non-standard ipod integration module that is on my car (see separate thread) has a built in amp. Is this TA vol screen on all Audio 20 cars? I will play around with the settings and see if I can get the iphone music vol to be at par with the radio vol.

J Yeah I been messing around with my stereo for about 3 days. Um I can't seem to get any kind of extra amplification no matter the settings in engineering mode on head unit or even the secret diagnostic a menu on your speedometer that you can get into for your auxiliary input. To access the special menu you make sure you're playing music on the auxiliary settings and then press the hang up and down button on your steering wheel while on the audio menu ( on heads up display). On your speedometer you should see the software version the version of the ipod integration module and then you'll see either volume minus or volume plus. To change that setting you can pressed up or down when the volume menu pops up. It however makes no difference on my car I believe that that setting is for cars with the ipod amplifier installed. I don't have the ipod amplifier so i am gonna go to radio shack in buy an aftermarket version of the same thing. Pretty much mercedes screwed up and nobody's auxiliary inputs are worth a darn.

I just got my window sticker out of my glovebox would you believe or not I was charged 590 dollars to have an ipod integration kit that not only doesn't work but also ruins the auxiliary input the car came with. At least this is the only problem I have with this car in almost 1 year Since purchasing a new

After playing around I now realize the ta stands for total amplification. With d t a set to the max (15)and dlmax set to the max (20) and dlmin at the lowest the amplifier goes much louder than atcstock. Dl is definitely digital line in. Dlmin/dlmax must be the allowable line input. I am going to try dlmin one click below dlmax and see if this helps aux in sound processing.

Okay that definitely made everything even louder on however you still are amplify in the distorted signal from the analog signal from the ipod integration kit.
So here are the basic setup to get really good sound from cds With the audio 20 head unit it almost sounds as good as the harman kardon system. In engineering mode set your I equal eiser for your own preferences um there are some guys on here to give you the settings I recommend the settings of filter 1 90 hz, filter 2, 1000 hz, filter 3 10,000 hz, filter 4 15,000 hz. Filter 1 q settings at 0.5 filter 2 q settings at 1.5 filter 3 q settings 1.0 filter 4 q settings at 1.0 Filter 1 gain at 3.5 filter 2 gain at 4.0 filter 3 gain at 4.5 filter 4 at 2.0. Have aux volume set to "boost" and have the volume setting to +++ in the secret diagnostic menu on your heads up display for the auxiliary input. I Have 2 10 inch subwoofers in the trunk running off of a line out reducer off 1 of my rear speakers and the stereo sounds phenomenal. Auxiliary input is almost as loud as the radio now but it is distorted so I'm gonna buy a um ipod amplification kit

NTG5 engineering menu

Hi guys,

I have a 2014 C-class with Comand Online (NTG5)
I've tried to search around for the key combination for entering the engineering menu on the Comand Online for my model.

I have to mention that this model does not have any numeric keypad, therefore the key combination "hang-up" + 1 + # does not apply here...

Does anyone know how to enter the engineering menu on this model?

Thanks a lot in advance
