carpet behind the rear wheels
Hey Guys
Stupid question... i have an Aussie c200k...
i was quick look around the car, and there is carpet in the rear wheel arches. Is this the way? i reckon it would be for sound proofing.
The front has a black plastic? but the rear has the carpet.
Same for your cars?

Brow lights
Another quick question.
Is there anyway to keep the brow lights on even during the day with the headlights set on auto?
I tried the setting "surround lights on".. but that didnt work.

I have a clk240, aussie spec, thats 5 years old and it also has that stuff inside the rear wheel arches. Not quite carpet but it feels like it. I wouldnt have a clue what its for though suspect its for the sound proofing.

The point is that the plastic panel at the front is not facing the car body but has a lot of room behind it while the body is exposed at the rear fender area. If you drive on a dirt road, you would hear the small stones hitting the inside of the rear wheel arches and the sound from every hit would travel via the body to the cabin while the same would not happen at the front. The insulation stuff of course also protects the paint from chips.
