Prepaid Maintenance for '09 C300?

Has anyone opted for this plan upon purchase/lease signing? I am in the SF East Bay area and my dealer is trying to sell this plan for the duration of my '09 C300 Sport, 39 month lease. Says it should cover 3 maintenance services (I'm thinking A + B + A?) during the lease period. It cost $995 upfront, but spread across the lease it will pad $30 on my monthly, inclusive of taxes.

Looking at other threads with Service A and B prices, I still see variations here and there, A + B + A from around $700s to beyond $1000s, excluding taxes I suppose. However looking at Edmunds, A + B + A is under $500 excluding taxes. Maybe Edmunds is quoting non-dealer costs?

Do you think this is a good price? Has anyone else opted for this on their purchase/lease? What are they exactly covering on this plan, based on your experience?

Thanks!

I wouldn't do it. Simple shopping around will typically yield better prices.
