C43AMG 03-02-2009 10:14 AM

Sorry to hear about your car,it happens all the time.I won't drive my MB's anywhere where I have to leave them out of mt sight for a extended period of time.I'll take my company car for those situations.

Sorry to hear about that, it's unfortunate when jealousy and/or moronic behavior affects someone else. I had my driver side mirror housing bashed in about a week ago if it makes you feel any better.

TB5... 03-02-2009 11:39 AM

yea i don't like the fact that i have to change up my behavior because i have an expensive car... but i guess i will have to.

and damn @ the side mirror :\ nah that doesn't make me feel better lol... it's upsetting actually... yea luckily they just did the tires...

500$ for 2 a these damn tires tho... expensive.

cvkatigbak 03-02-2009 11:43 AM

$500!? Damn.. Yeah I had this done.. Don't worry, yours was nothing..

Insurance should cover the tires.

wtf ... wow... that is ruthless... don't understand what people get outta doin this kinda **** tho...

and the cost of the tires are less than my deductible so it's comin out the pocket.

People suck... Two weeks after I got my car, some worthless soul ran across my hood and scratched it. Left a nice Fila footprint on there. LUckly I have a clear bra on which took the worst of it. I was able to get it buffed out which was nice. Then last year on my birthday, I was eating lunch with my car right out front of my fav sushi place and someone key'd or scratched my back door. It's down to the primer so no buffing on that one... Some people just aren't worth the air they breath...

Flame3g 03-02-2009 02:06 PM

Man that really blows....sorry to hear about such bad news

nukefixer 03-02-2009 02:15 PM

Really unfortunate

Wow, to bad you run into jealous idiots like that.

I concur, I mean you don't see me running out and keying an SL63 just because I couldn't afford it.

Sorry to hear, bro.

One time, when I still had my Honda Prelude, someone stuffed a burrito down my sunroof. I didn't understand that.

Derspeed 03-02-2009 03:25 PM

I heard on the news that many MBs and BMWs have been vandalized recently. Too bad you can't turn the tables and beat these losers with some ambition.

I also remember when environmentalists were torching Hummers at dealerships.

SportMan 03-02-2009 03:37 PM

some people are just idiots, they will try and make you feel like ****.when in reality the people that are doing this type of crap have nothing to lose, and have nothing nice to be proud of.
and to think your tax money pays for these punks welfare checks

Can't comment on what's going on in Canada, but obviously in the US we are in a period where "wealth" is being demonized. To the degree that a $38K car is a symbol of wealth, there are alot of people in the society who feel this is their time to "get back" at the so-called "rich". And its going to get alot worse going forward.

mdniteangel 03-02-2009 04:56 PM

wow you guys I can't believe how often cars get vandalized... it makes me real sad and angry at the same time.. and to see some of the forumers here have been a victim of it...I never understood it.. I know when I see a beautiful and expensive car I admire it and if the driver looks friendly I would give him/her a compliment. Sorry to hear about that TB5 I hope that doesn't happen again.

Yeah, I agree. I often get looks pulling into work b/c of the benz. When people find out that this car was a gift to myself for going to Afghanistan twice in the last three years, they usually shut up.

What I don't understand is, if someone has earned the money, they earn the right to spend it on whatever they freaking want. That's why I live in America, what was once known as a capitalist society.

trial0r 03-02-2009 05:45 PM

i've been keyed. haves vs. have-nots will never end.

Robbio204 03-02-2009 05:56 PM

Terrible. Sorry to hear. I try to make my car stand out as little as possible in a large parking lot.

My dad drove some kind of Honda hatchback roughly 20 years ago while he was living in Detroit MI. As everyone knows, the big three are based there. Someone thought his car didn't belong in the parking lot next to American made cars so they rammed it into a concrete wall with their truck. They also slashed all four tires and broke the windows out. Some people...

Thank god, nothing has happened to my C350.

I hear you on this i get nasty looks when i pull up to work also, been deployed 6 times in 6yrs + TDY alot some people just don't know how to manage money so they take it out on others

len56 03-02-2009 07:01 PM

i don't know... I get really, really defensive when it comes to my car.

If i saw somebody keying my merc...I'd either shoot there knees out, (but I don't have a gun)

So, I'd have their face meet up with my alloy's, repeatedly, and with high velocity :D

Those types of people are a waste of my/our [good people's] resources. They can drink sewage.

Then again, when you have a mercedes, you can probably afford to go to a place with a valet/restaurants in the good parts of town.

Ron Jr 03-02-2009 07:35 PM

I feel your pain. I went to check my tire presure on Sat and when I went to take the driver rear cap off it wouldn't budge. I looked at the cap and you could see scratches as if some one used pliers or vice grips on them and they were also further down the TPS stem than normal. Well I take a small pair of vice grips, I cant grip[ it well enough with my fingers and the damn stem twists right off and the air is flowing out. I twist the core with my fingertips and it drops the leak to almost nothing. Home is only a couple minutes away so I use my floor jack to lift the car and slap the doughnut on. Tire place doesn't have a new sensor so a standard valve is ther instead. Also found a nail in the tire and the car was just inspected two weeks ago.

nychokeyplaya35 03-02-2009 09:15 PM

I had someone in the mall parking lot spit with yellow lugis all over my car. People are just jealous cuz they are dirtbags and aren't going anywhere....
