Sorry to hear about that, it's unfortunate when jealousy and/or moronic behavior affects someone else. I had my driver side mirror housing bashed in about a week ago if it makes you feel any better.

Insurance should cover the tires.

People suck... Two weeks after I got my car, some worthless soul ran across my hood and scratched it. Left a nice Fila footprint on there. LUckly I have a clear bra on which took the worst of it. I was able to get it buffed out which was nice. Then last year on my birthday, I was eating lunch with my car right out front of my fav sushi place and someone key'd or scratched my back door. It's down to the primer so no buffing on that one... Some people just aren't worth the air they breath...

I concur, I mean you don't see me running out and keying an SL63 just because I couldn't afford it.

Sorry to hear, bro.

One time, when I still had my Honda Prelude, someone stuffed a burrito down my sunroof. I didn't understand that.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I heard on the news that many MBs and BMWs have been vandalized recently. Too bad you can't turn the tables and beat these losers with some ambition.

I also remember when environmentalists were torching Hummers at dealerships.

Can't comment on what's going on in Canada, but obviously in the US we are in a period where "wealth" is being demonized. To the degree that a $38K car is a symbol of wealth, there are alot of people in the society who feel this is their time to "get back" at the so-called "rich". And its going to get alot worse going forward.

wow you guys I can't believe how often cars get vandalized... it makes me real sad and angry at the same time.. and to see some of the forumers here have been a victim of it...I never understood it.. I know when I see a beautiful and expensive car I admire it and if the driver looks friendly I would give him/her a compliment. Sorry to hear about that TB5 I hope that doesn't happen again.

Yeah, I agree. I often get looks pulling into work b/c of the benz. When people find out that this car was a gift to myself for going to Afghanistan twice in the last three years, they usually shut up.

What I don't understand is, if someone has earned the money, they earn the right to spend it on whatever they freaking want. That's why I live in America, what was once known as a capitalist society.

Terrible. Sorry to hear. I try to make my car stand out as little as possible in a large parking lot.

My dad drove some kind of Honda hatchback roughly 20 years ago while he was living in Detroit MI. As everyone knows, the big three are based there. Someone thought his car didn't belong in the parking lot next to American made cars so they rammed it into a concrete wall with their truck. They also slashed all four tires and broke the windows out. Some people...

Thank god, nothing has happened to my C350.

i don't know... I get really, really defensive when it comes to my car.

If i saw somebody keying my merc...I'd either shoot there knees out, (but I don't have a gun)

So, I'd have their face meet up with my alloy's, repeatedly, and with high velocity

Those types of people are a waste of my/our [good people's] resources. They can drink sewage.

Then again, when you have a mercedes, you can probably afford to go to a place with a valet/restaurants in the good parts of town.

I feel your pain. I went to check my tire presure on Sat and when I went to take the driver rear cap off it wouldn't budge. I looked at the cap and you could see scratches as if some one used pliers or vice grips on them and they were also further down the TPS stem than normal. Well I take a small pair of vice grips, I cant grip[ it well enough with my fingers and the damn stem twists right off and the air is flowing out. I twist the core with my fingertips and it drops the leak to almost nothing. Home is only a couple minutes away so I use my floor jack to lift the car and slap the doughnut on. Tire place doesn't have a new sensor so a standard valve is ther instead. Also found a nail in the tire and the car was just inspected two weeks ago.
