Question noisy steering

anyone think the power steering in the w204 is noisy? it seems at parking speeds I'm always hearing groaning and whining sounds coming from the steering. It's not horribly noisy, but its noticeable.

No groaning or whining, but I do have knocking sounds especially on gritty surfaces. I brought it in, and all they could tell me was that it was normal. I know that isn't the case, but I wasn't in the mood to argue at the time.

In another 10k miles I will bring it in again. The sounds aren't really that noticeable unless i'm backing up, and the wheel is 90 degrees close to lock.

I have this problem too. I brought it to the dealer and they told me there was a service bulleting for the suspension, but whatever they did didn't fix the problem. I still have noisy steering as described before, nothing untolerable, but it is there, like turning the wheels on a sandy surface. I had a 09 loaner and it didn't have the problem.

if you're having the "popping in reverse" problem, theres a TSB for it. I had mine done and theres no more popping. I'm talking about the steering pump, or whatever you would call it, seems to be noisy. Although I've noticed this in a lot of Mercedes.
