These ebay auctions have $40 for shipping. Doesn't tirerack.com sell the same springs for about the same price and ship them for around $15?

Yes. That's what my Eibachs cost to receive and ship back. Plus, you can't go wrong with tirerack.

Just curious, any particular reason you went with the Eibachs over the H&R springs? Or did you not keep them?

I have had both on some previous cars. Eibachs are definitely better suited for use with OE dampers. There is no way my OEs would have properly controlled the H&Rs. My Passat has H&Rs with Bilstein dampers. That is a great handling set up. The car will out handle my friend's 335i with the sport package and it rides better. Anyway, I sent the Eibachs back because I am getting H&R coilovers. Bils have HD struts out for W204s. I would definitely use them with H&R sports or supersports.

FYI: I will never buy B+G or HOR Technologie springs again. Terrible!

ok, another question.

The H&R Sport springs say they lower the car 1.4"/1.2" front/rear

The H&R SuperSport say they lower the car 1.7"/1.8"

The Eibachs say they lower the car 1.2" front and back

SO, are these measurements based off the Luxury model or the Sport model, because isn't the Sport model already an inch lower than the Luxury model??

If so, then how much do each of these springs lower a C300/C350 Sport??

Thanks for the clarification!

meant that 18" and supersport ... may not be the best idea for daily driving ... especially once it's settled in.. it's already somewhat harsh over speed bumps and potholes with just the sports... and 18" wheels.

How much of a hit in ride quality would it be with H&R Coilovers? Excuse the newbish question, I don't know much about suspension etc...

Seems that if you can afford it, going with the coilovers is the best overall package?

lol are you serious? 400? Mercedes... And I thought Belgium was expensive

It looks great but I'd get a Koni FSD kit or other coilovers and replace the whole thing. Keeping the shocks for their intended use.

ok guys, i would just like to point out that the shocks that are used on the c-class are used on other MB cars as well without any internal modifications. I would like to know what the difference would be if i had Blisten HD? Again Blisten HD's work on a large amount of different applications as well. I feel the need of changing both springs and shocks at the same time is a myth. lowering my car 1.9 inches is not that significant.

Ok my ride is not bad at all, i think the smoothest setup (other then stock) will be with stock shocks and aftermarket springs, It my not be the best preforming however as soon as that sport button is pressed the car feels a whole lot rougher and preforms a lot better.

i believe a w204 sport is .3 lower then the w204L, and if i remember correctly it is based of the luxury.

Hey mikestyle did the Mercedes dealer do an alignment after they installed the springs? and did they comment on the warranty now that you installed the springs?

Mikestyle, you are right. The OE dampers are probably well-suited for many different springs (I did a lot of research). I was going to use them with my Eibachs because I used Eibachs with some Boge Turbogas (used on many OE applications) dampers once and the resaults were really good. I had that set up for about 60,000 miles with no issues at all. The H&R Sports coupled with the OE struts on my Passat wouldn't have worked well. The sport package springs used by VW destroyed the OE dampers after about 20,000 miles. I just didn't want to risk it. My whole statement may only apply to US vehicles though. We don't have the Advance Agility Package here, just the standard Agility Package.

Krytech, the measurements are for the Lux edition. I confirmed it with reps at both companies.

It only changes the shift points. I have a 6MT, so no button at all in mine.

the sport button regard to Dynamic Handling Package, in canada C300 is an option to get this and standard on C350, and it's only for RWD!

ok well it have 6 mt as well, however when i press the sport button, the ride gets significantly, tighter and has hardly any body roll. It deff changes something in the shocks.

Yeah that sounds like the Advanced Agility option which the US market lacks. What we have with our automatic transmission is a button to toggle between Sport mode and Comfort mode (I think Comfort was called Winter in previous models) and as mentioned it simply changes the shift points and when in Comfort mode you will start in 2nd gear which can help in snow and ice. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the suspension.

I've lowered my mazda 3 many years back... and that clearly needed alignment.

Here is a picture taken at our car meet yesterday by MemberID 451/443=EW .... in Vancouver...

2nd from the right (white c350).. you can see my H&R Sport springs 1 year later... pretty low. It dropped about .2 inches since last year...and on some crazy speed bumps.. it's rubbed the bottom of the front lip (not that you ever look below the car)... nothing too bad.. but still...

The ride quality is about 20% less than stock after 1 year on downtown bumpy roads. Smooth roads / highway driving there is no difference. The cornering is of course significantly better.

May you send some pictures about car how it looks like now with spring ?
