So the 2009 C class can have memory seats! can us 2008 model owners retrofit???!

I hate that the car wash guys and the valet guys have to move my seat!!! What would be involved here? A new seat & the switches & trim? New rails too? It doesnt seem that unreasonable, anyone have info?

Has MB developed a retrofit to install memory seat on the driver's side of the 2008 C300 built for the American market ? Or can the equipment from the 2008 Canadian version of the C350 be adapted ?

This is my wife's sole complaint about our 2008 C 300 Sport especially when much less expensive cars are regularly equipped with memory seat.

 

Contact Steve at mbenznl@gmail.com he can tell you for sure if it is possible. On my 2004 C-Class, I added a bunch of features that were not available on US market cars, and on my 2013 C-Class Coupe I retrofitted power folding mirrors and blind spot assist.

Lack of a memory seat seems to be a common issue.

The dealer seems to have little interest in trying to take on this problem.
If I make any progress, I will try to get an exploded diagram, parts numbers, etc. There must be some way this can be accomplished even if it requires a trip to Canada.
