Routine service at how many KMs?
The time I bought my car, I checked ASSYST and figure mentioned was 15000 Kms(9320miles) and its propotionaly decreasing as I get an increase in my milage.
My question is;
Is it possible for the MB dealer to set this time in the car (or by choosing the type of engine oil) because I have heard usually the periodical service is due every after 20,000Kms (12500 miles), If you drive in a decent manner.
It is one way of money making as we pay around USD800 to USD1000 for every service here.
Hope to get some more info on this.

1st , it depends on the car engine the service interval. second , at the service they just reset the assyst and tell the car service has been done.
i don't think it's possible for them to set manually the interval.

But how does the different regions have different range of milage for service. I am not sure if C200 Kompressor will not have the same engine around the globe.

i might depend on ordering country . each car has a order number , and in that order number you get 2 digits the year, next 3 digits the country code... and the lasts digits are the order itself .
so from the factory you might get installed the service periods depeding of the contry that car was originally intented to go to.
