I am considering buying a C300 4matic in black. (comparing it to BMW 328xi and Audi A4 ~ so far, slightly more interested in the MB).
What interior do you all think is best? I really like the gray textile, but I worry that maybe it is too light, and the beige is better? I know I def don't want black interior - black on black is too heavy for me.
Thanks!

Depends what YOU like. Do you want a sportier look (grey or black interior) or a more elegant look (beige)?
I personally think the beige interior is nasty, and I think the burled walnut trim is disgusting too....since you don't want black, I'd go with the grey interior with aluminum trim. Just fits the personality of the car better imo.
My favorite interior is the grey/black leather with the grey poplar trim..but unfortunately MB limited the best trim to the C350 only.

It seems like the Gray would work well with the black exterior. The material is great quality and should age well for years to come. Looking forward to hearing about you new 4Matic soon...
With a black exterior, gray would be a better choice than beige for the interior.
Even with gray, things like the dash and portions of the door panels are black. In my opinion, that looks better than it all being black or gray.
Beige would look better on white or some warm color exterior.
Best of luck.

Sincs black is not an option I would have to say grey. I can't stand the baby poop beige. I actually told my SA to take back a loaner and give me a different one because of the beige interior.
^^LOL I can't believe you actually returned a loaner over that! I agree that the grey looks awesome, esp b/c it also had black accents.
I think I would feel like an old lady in the beige.
I am going to test drive it one more time this morning, and then do my research so that tom after work I can work out a price, and place my order. Tomorrow is the last day of 1.9% financing.

If I had the choice I would get the gray. I like the two tone look of it and I've always liked lighter interiors but was never a huge fan of beige. My car is black on black and I am perfectly happy with that but If I had the luxury to order my car exactly how I want it I would have gotten the gray/black mb-tex.
I think grey is the best option with a black exterior. There's a nice contrast with the grey and black inside and if you're worried about it getting too dirty then it'll only give you an incentive to clean the inside once every week or two
Good luck with the purchase !!

My favorite combo is the two tone black/grey, with wood. It is extremely sharp with the chrome accents. You can get it on the sport and luxury models.
at least sit in, or drive one with ALL interior choices. Many times people go to the dealer with one combo in mind and end up leaving with another.
Don't rule out black interior. To me it is the most sophisticated and goes really well with the aluminum accents or in my case the Birds eye maple.
Plus, black interiors just give you a warm inviting feeling.
I'm just sayin.

I have a Obsidian Black Sport with the Grey/Black interior and it gets dirty way too easy. When I say dirty I mean nearly black in spots where your skin touches and it turns blue where your pants touch. I don't have the skin problem in my R class with Beige interior, but the blue from my pants seems to transfer though. Just something to think about.
