Hey, I thought it was limited to 10 sets, so I didn't bother looking after that.
I'd like to see a pic of the lamps when they come in, they looked rather odd in the pics from Sweden, not like a W5W lamp.

If someone want to let a set of 4300K's go, let me know.
I currently am running 6000K LED,s but have the resistors outside the housings, to dissipate the heat.
But my bulbs are 4300K.

I'm curious to see if these have resistors built in and the physical
dimension.
Obviously there's a demand for these, and you're only in one forum.
I'm sure the guys in the W203 forum would eat these up...
I could be a ginny pig to see if they work???

But this doesn't look anything like an LED or a bulb or even close to a W5W form factor.

I mean, here's what a w5w led looks like; anything larger than this won't fit through the hole...
as in the parking lamps in front inside the headlight housing.

yeah, I originally was just hooking up the 204 crowd with this GB. If there's enough interests and if these LEDs do work out well, I can talk to the seller and see if we can organize a second GB, opening it up to all MBs. We'll see.

Yeh, but how is that a wedge bulb?
It looks like a circuit board!
Unless thats the LED shining sideways (yellow part) which might be fine for a frosty
lense, but no good for a clear parking lamp, they'd need to be shining forward.

Once they arrive perhaps you can confirm exactly what the heck these things are.

If you've ever cracked open the housing and looked at the circuitry inside those nicely packaged lights, you'll see something fairly similar to this. Those yellow spots ARE the led emitters. LED lighting is basically a circuit board drawing voltage from the connector, through the resistor, and into the LED (oversimplified). As for the side facing LEDs (2 LEDs on either side), these are actually more ideal for certain kind of lighting (such as the originally intended eyebrow and sidemarkers this GB was aimed towards) because they illuminate the whole housing as opposed to just pinpoint lights pointing outwards.

If I had the time and patience, I could make these myself....material costs are maybe $5, but I'm lazy and crappy with a solder.

I hated my electrical engineering classes. Was more a software guy, but my undergrad required EE classes for Computer Engineer majors. I guess it's good cause I can work my way through basic circuitry and know enough to know what I'm looking at, but only formula I remember was V = IR

These are the SMD LEDS, work well for eyelids, flood lights, front dome lights and maybe rear seat reading lights.....

They are directional, so technically you could only be using 1 side of the LED in certain situations with less brightness like the trunk light and possible license plate lights, but I'm not sure how those are pointed.

SMD just means they're surface mounted to the circuit board. It's kind of a misnomer as they're all surface mounted in some way, it just depends on the length of the pin connector. LEDs are LEDs. By mounting it right on the board, it makes the LED unit as a whole smaller, but you're limited to the plane direction you're mounting it to. The ones in the other GB that ctgilles ran were also SMD, but they were mounted on a T shaped circuit board which gave it a plane facing forward to mount the LED emitter.

Now I regret for not majoring in Engineering.

You totally lost me at ...misnomer.

If they are not willing to ship out, it can always pass through me. I'll fill out the forms and ship it through to you

The ones from the older GB will work in W203 and any CANBUS vehicle (VW, AUDI, SKODA, SEAT, BMW, ...). I'm asking him if he can deliver the LEDs in 4500K since the demand is so big.

aham ... you can say that again ...

first of all : when first on the light is WHITE . after a couple of minutes it turns to this ****ty purple !

so , after putting yours on ... wait a couple of minute , 2-5 minutes , and then you will see the true light ...

and you need 4 bulbs , 1 set of bulbs contains only 2 , so you need 2 sets .
