Fishing for eyelid bulb...

Need some help. I was trying out some cheap LED Eyelid lights this afternoon. Not too impressed with them and when I pulled the socket out to remove one of the bulbs...no bulb...it turns out the bulb popped out while inside the light housing.
Now what. It is so freakin tight that it is almost impossible to try to fish the thing out. Any ideas other than removing the light assembly and shaking it until it drops out. I was thinking of some sort of sticky pad on a pencil or something but don't want to gunk up the lenses or end up leaving more crap in there.
This sucks but at least I can still run my Polargs while I figure this out.

Holy $&*%@
That's crazy! The LEDs I've tried have been so damn tight that I thought I was either going to break the LED itself or the socket trying to insert them.
How about one of those flexible metal grabber dohickie things. <- technical term. They have a small claw on one side and a push-pull handle to operate the claw on the other end. They sell them at home dump and sears for sure. I've used it many times in the past to grab things from impossible locations.
Good luck!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
EDIT: Like this one. They're getting fancy today! This one even has an LED light to help you see your lost LED

It's fairly easy to take the headlights off the car... Just some bolts and you are set. Just offering an alternative to fishing out your LEDs...

No luck yet. It doesn't seem to be bothering anything, I cant hear it rattling and it doesnt seem to affect the light pattern, so it may be in there a while. I don't want to get to aggressive trying to fish it out as I may end up scrathcing up the reflective surfaces etc. and there is no room to work or even see what is going on. I may just wait until I have a slow day and just take the light off to get it out.
If anyone comes up with anything, I am all ears.

I got mine out with a lot of patience and a pair of fine tweezers! Try to "see" with your finger tips: feel and visualise the bulb and you'll be able to grab it like I did... Just nudged it to an opening and then grabbed it again and pulled it out.
It's not hard to remove the light and shake it like a Polaroid picture...

just use your finger tips or if you have a kid, just tell your son to do it he has little fingers.

Don't think you quite understand. The bulb popped into the light through the small opening that the bulb holder "clicks" into. I can barely get the tip of one finger in there much less fishing it out. If the lost bulb was straight ahead, I may have been able to get it with tweezers but the bulb actually fell into the housing.

E200C-Fully loaded, Obsidian Black, ILS, Panoramic roof and some other bits and pieces.
If you are not a perfectionist and the idea of a LED bulb in your light housing doesnt bother you, just let it be, as trying to fish it out would probably cause damage to the reflective surface.

Sounds like you lost your bulb on the driver side also? At lease on the other side you can work at it.. I think LED is a PAIN to get out also since its a lot smaller that your regular 194 bulb and flat... Next time I am sure you are going to JAM the LED in tighter before insert ![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
BTW, there is a small chance the corner of the LED is going to scratch your light
