4Matic Wheels Question
Hey perhaps some of you folks can help out a clueless gal regarding wheels
and TIA. Anyways ive got the 4matic Sport C and i've been wanting to get new wheels but i've been hesitant due to the fact that the Sport models has the staggered setups but i just realized that the C300 Luxury models arent staggered sooo why can't i get the same size wheels/tires ( i really prefer the BBS Ch's ) on all four corners like the Luxury has ??
I'd really like 18" or 19" wheels ( yes an inch or two does matter
j/k ) but i'm afraid it'll effect the 4matic in a negative way ??
Once again i thank you guys kindly

Wheel WIDTH and tire WIDTH, which is what a staggered setup is about, has nothing do do with rolling diameter. With the staggered wheels, the wheels and tires are wider, but the rear tires are a lower profile, so the net effect is that the rolling diameter is the same both front and rear.
The actual DIAMETER of the front and rear tires / wheels are the same whether the setup is staggered or symmetrical. Thus, it doesn't matter whether you use a staggered wheel approach or a symmetrical, as long as the diameter remains the same, you won't upset the 4-matic system, or the ESP, or the ABS.
Bottom line - I bought Lux precisely because I don't like staggered wheels; you can go to the same size all round with no problems, as long as you stick to the appropriate tire size. Those sizes are documented IN YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL - all your answers are in there if you want to look.
