Hello All,

Been lurking here for a year - This is my first post. So... Hello!

I have a 2008 C300 Sport with the manual transmission and love it! This is my 2nd C Class, 1st was a 2003 W203 C230 Sport.

I have a question... Is there a way to default the information screen on the dashboard to the setting I want to see all the time? Right now when I start the car it defaults to the odometer and I find myself pressing the down arrow on the wheel every time I drive away. I'd like to have it just default to the 'From Start' screen. I had the option to do this in the W203 but can't seem to make it work on the W204.

I referenced the owner’s manual but couldn't find anything.

I don't think there is way to do that. I like to have the digital speedo on, but it goes away each time I turn the car off.

 

I haven't found a way to have it default either, would be nice though...

Don't think it is possible and I know many have searched for a way, including me. If you do find a way please post it.

 

Bummer! I was afraid I would get this response. This is the only thing that really bugs me about the car. :-/

 

yea i would have loved if there was a way for this as well.

 

Earlier models used to remember the cluster computer menu selection, our W204 does not but the W212 again does. I wonder if there would be a version coding option to change this, unlikely though.
