Check your build date. You are likely at 12 months and it was not reset upon delivery. I don't think it is a bad idea to change the oil as it has likely already been in there for a year.

called the dealer and they were just happy to say "bring it in, we'll service it with pleasure". Couldn't get an answer as for why...

And I need that stupid coolant sensor checked.

Seriously, I regret my purchase...

Keep asking why or they should not be called a 'service' centre especially if you have to pay for the service. !!

I had something similar happen with my car. I took it in and they reset the indicator to the date I bought the car. One year from the new date, service came due. (I put less than 13,000 miles on the car). It's an easy fix. I think if you explain this to your service advisor, you will find them to be accommodating. My dealer usually respects my knowledge of the car. I learn everything I know from these boards.

It's synthetic oil. I don't think it goes bad sitting in the car. Neither do most of the other people who have posted on this same subject. For a faster answer next time, you might want to search the forums first. You will find that most questions have already been answered several times. It will give you a lot more information and ideas than reading just the answers to your post.

Hope this is helpful.

FYI, it's just my ?&%$#@! dealer who didn't bother to service the car/reset the indicator despite that he had the car for over 6 months in his yard.

It did cost 320$can for servicing it. For the little history, I did put 280$ in gas in that car since I bought it. (I keep every bill)

Also, I have been told that if the 6 months trial woth Sirius wasn't activated within 2 months, you just lose it. So screw it.
