Can anyone that is/was affiliated with MBUSA confirm whether or not doing this voids any warranties and whether or not I'll get dinged upon lease return?

I plan on putting the resonator back in before return but don't know if the welding will be evidence enough...

anything cat back will not void warranty. I doubt it'll be an issue if you return the stock resonator back before you return it, but probably on a dealership to dealership b1tchy level basis.

^ +1 I talked to my SA yesterday at the dealership about it. He said do it from the catback and don't touch your catalyic converters(not sure if i spelled that right?) He said from catback it won't void your warranty but also it won't sound "as good" as it would from your cats.

just bought a carbon 3 piece brabus spoiler and put rims on when i was home.
