Rear-axel suspension knocking sound & steering wheel poping sound?

Rear-axel suspension knocking sound & steering wheel poping sound?
Can someone fill me in on how to spot these 2 problems?
I have been doing a lot of reading and search the forum, looks like quite a few of you guys have these 2 problems..
However, I am not quite sure what are the symptons to look for..
Last week I had my car parked in the garage so it's pretty quite, when I was cleaning the back seat of my car,
I sorta slammed into the back seat and I heard a fant clunk or metal to metal knocking sound coming from the trunk area..
I originally thought it might be the spare tire but come to think of it, the spare was locked down tight..
Is this the knocking/thumping sound from rear-axel suspension mentioned in this TSB?

Also, what are the parts that's most likely to be damaged if these 2 issues are not addressed??
