Dirty Paint

Dirty Paint
Hi guys. Just wanted to run this by you. I bought my new car off the lot two weekends ago. Got a great deal on a great car and excellent buying experience. Last weekend I decided to thoroughly clean the exterior and wax it really well. I was surprised at how dirty the paint was, even after washing there was a lot of "imbedded" dirt that i really couldn't just wash off and you could feel when you ran your hand over the paint. I wanted to get off to a good start so I drove down to my local detailer who I trust, and he was surprise at how dirty the paint was and that it had some oxidation spots, probably from sitting uncovered on the dealer lot for a long time. Anyway, a couple of hundred dollars later, clay, polish and sealed, the paint is like glass. Is this normal, or should I approach the dealership about my dissapointment. (They are an A+ dealership located in the Bay Area California.

they won't do anything about it...they'll just tell you a good clay and polish will take care of it (which is true). Just be happy it's good now. You should get it full detailed once or twice a year anyways....you just got a head start :p
