These are also available in 4300K variant, mine just were 6000K and some MY's (09?) had some flickering issues. BMW has that too... Dunno what causes it... It's an overcomputered car me thinks.
Some of these are 4300K and people keep crying about the purple tint... No offence intended (!!) but please think and use your brains for a second. When the first Xenon lamps came out, what was the colour that you saw when a car with Xenon approached you? Purple, also known as 4300K.
If you are looking for a pure white, you're not going to find it! I think, however, that 5000K is the best bet for white. But don't forget the coloured coating on your lights! But at least it's better than the greenish glow that came from those PolarG bulbs. And that blue coating around the (incandescent) bulb stops a lot of light.

Something people should test also, plug in the leds, but don't put it back into the housing. Turn them on, then look at the light shade. If those look 4300K white to you, then great. Plug it into the housing and then try again. Look bluish/purple? well, blame the housing then.
If they still look blue/purple outside of the housing, then your search continues :p
Then there's the whole, everyone has different eyes and see color spectrums slightly differently aspect. I'm willing to bet if you put 4300K next to 6000K exposed LED, looking over time, your eyes will start to interpret the 43000K as white and the 6000K as purple. At least that's what I remember from some of my CogSci classes

This is the issue with LED.s ,
The white LED is from the beginning a blue LED coated with a thin phosphorous layer wich makes them somewhat white, however this white color is so narrow in the infrared color spectrum that they will look blueish no matter what.
Warm white LED.s are coming more and more but they are still pretty weak and the light tends to be yellow.
A halogen bulb with a tinted glass gets experienced as whiter because of the much broader IR color spectrum.
However a LED is the closest match to stock Xenons as a Xenon lamp also has a very narrow color frequency.

I just expected hyper white lights. Nonetheless, awesome bulbs as they match my fogs with a laker theme at dusk and dawn. Now I just need to get some HIDs Can anyone advise me who have the 4300k eyelids what HIDs to get? Thanks.

From what I can tell by the photos posted, they look very similar to the LEDs I already bought. I think it's more likely that it's the housing that is causing this and not the LEDs though. The LEDs I bought look really bright and really white.....until you put them in the eyelid housing. Then they get rather dim and get a blueish/purple tint to them.
The think the ultimate would be to rig up 8 polarg bulbs in each eyelid. Maybe more
I've actually been thinking about rolling back to the OE bulbs. The polarg bulbs I have almost perfectly match my HID (P2) headlights which is nice but the headlights drown them out. At least with the stock bulbs there was a nice contrast and you could tell that portion of the headlight housing was lit with a separate bulb.

Just saw these plugged in to a GB member who took hand delivery. From outside the housing these are pure white and about as white as you can get. Placing them into the housing, you'll see the bluish tint. LEDs are fine, it's the eyebrow housing that sucks :p With the polargs bulbs, those are probably outputting enough light to overshadow the tinting effect of the brow housing. I guess if you had one big LED or a bunch of LEDs inside that emitted enough light, then it would come out white as well. It's not the shade of the LED now that's the issue, it's the intensity of light being emitted.

My LED from the group buy...
Mine did not turn out to be that bad. Not as purple as one shown earlier. I think that is 6000k. Here are some of my pic. Left side is the LED and right side is my Raybrig 6000k.
Unless it takes a bit for the color to change, I would say they are a bit purple but I am ok with it. They are less blue than the other LED I got from the other GB.
Thanks AZN
BTW, it is a pain in the rear to change out the eyelids at night

First off i want to thank AZN for putting this GB together and making sure they got to us safely and unbroken! I will be posting pics soon of comparison of AZN's led's and CTGILLES led's...Since i purchased from both. Am just waiting for the weather to get better over here to take some decent shoots.
Also does anyone know where else these leds can fit besides the eyelids and licenses plate lights?

Thanks Michael for doing this for all of us in this GB. Too bad it was still too early yesterday to do a side by side between these LEDs with CTGILLES's
BTW, the led matches my aftermarket 6000K HID Low Beam & Fog nicely, I will post the pics as soon as I am finished changing the sidemarkers.
Now, I just need to find something for the High Beam, any suggestion guys?

Just to keep you all in the loop. Now that we know who the direct manufacturer is on these LEDs, louiet3 and I are trying to track down how to purchase them directly and for a much cheaper price. Will keep you all informed.

Interestingly, after driving back home from work today, I notice that the LED are more blueish now like devastator. Feels like it becomes blue after it heats up. I just went to the garage and turn on the LED again and it is definately not blueish like it was after I got home. So that is pretty interesting. Is that normal?

wow AZN, if you can actually get the direct manufacturers to sell that would be awesome! i'm def a go if another GB comes up and the prices are cheap! btw, for the people that have the bi-xeons that came with your cars how do these look on the eyelids with the xeons on? I know some of the pictures are people with aftermarket HIDs at 6000k but I don't believe that the oem xeons are at 6000k.

yep, I saw your 2 pictures Devastator. 6000k and the 4300k right? do you have any front pictures, instead of pictures from the top? I want to see if the eyelids will mix in with the xeons and just be big blob of light
