for hids i would get Promax H7 Hid kit 6000k. Its about $90, but its worth it. I bought mine off amazon. search it on google, i think its the 3rd link on the page.

Happy to help!
Thanks for the suggestion. The installation from the pics on Amazon look daunting though. Is the install a plug n' play type affair like the eyelids or is there a lot more to it?

They're as plug and play as any HID aftermarket kit can get. I'm running PROMAX HID kit on my heads and fogs. Great product with no issues and competitive prices. Ballasts are larger than the slim lines though, but there's more than enough places to stash them.

I watched my shop put my HID heads in, it wasn't really difficult. No errors and no flickering. The HID fogs of course requires some cutting and for the Promax kit, a little bit of shaving with a dremel, but nothing crazy. Once again, no errors and no flickering.

Ok, if cutting is involved that's a little over my mod comfort factor (I know, I'm weak).
Can anyone therefore recommend better replacement bulbs than the stock ones perhaps that I can just screw-in in order to match the LEDs better?
Thanks.

Do they make amber LEDs? Or silver LEDs that blink amber? Please point me in the right direction!
I did notice how my LEDs turned purple today after a certain amount of time like other people have remarked in this thread. Not sure if that's a dealbreaker for me or not yet though.

here are some pics i took with the eyelids in...
the first set are with no photoshopping done... you can't really tell how purple they are by looking at a digital camera image...
the last few i photoshopped so ppl understand the colors better.
here is how the "TRUE" colour looks.
comparison shots

these were the 4300 warm white
like others have been saying... it does seem to turn more purple as time goes on...
really really weird. the initial colour in the eyelid was perfect tho.

wow, that looks nothing like the shade I saw in person. That's really bad. The last pic of the exposed LED, it looks perfect white though.

Plug it in somewhere else and see if you also get a color change? Might be a slight shift, but due to the eyebrow housing bluish tint, amplifies the shift more.

Would be interesting to check this color changing issue, Im going to rig a LED, take a picture of it the moment it turns on and then take another picture a few hours later with the camera in the exact same position with the same camera settings and the same ambient lighting.

the one problem is that the camera's image will always look good.
its something where u have to see it in person to believe it... i even took a video and it looked white yet in person it was purple.
try it out tho i'd like to see what happens.
azn... ill try that this weekend.

dam, and everybody said these things were "SO" white but yet, some can say they are really purple... those pictures look REALLY purple to me so you guys have got to be colour blind or something to say that those lights look really white. (inside the housing)
