I have had my C for nearly 18 months now & have only ever added soft rain water to the window washer reservoir( many, many times), never any detergent but there is still a copious amount of suds displayed when washing the windscreen. I service my own vehicle so the dealer had not refilled it.Has anyone else had a similar experience? Why is it so ?

Why would you not want any cleansing agent in the washer?

We have to use washer fluid here to tolerate the -40oC winters.
