Possible to upgrade to leather door panels??
Does anyone know what's the part numbers for the leather door panel and door handle/arm rest??
While I like have MB-Tex for seats, I am not thrilled about the all plastic feel of the interior door panel and handle/arm rest
I can often feel the handle/arm rest vibrate, I know the cause of the vibration is coming form the front speakers..
Dunno if the leather handle/arm rest has better damping/insulatoin in them..
Anyway, just wondering if it's possible to replace those parts only and what kind of cost are we looking at..

I just read AZN's post on another thread:
see P9.
There are probably cheaper alternatives if you don't want Brabus. Maybe a custom interior shop? but getting rid of the cheap feel comes with a not cheap price.
they sell for about $125 here in the US. Installation will probably run you $30-50. Have to remove door panel in the rear from what I understand.
I've attached the old Brabus part#/price list for 204s. As you can see in the part#, they mistakenly placed 203 pins for the 204s.

If it is just the vibrations you want to get rid of you can buy and have sound dampening material installed at a stereo shop. If you want to change the panel to leather going to an automotive upholstery shop is the way to go. I got a quote of $250 per seat to change the inserts to leather with a different seam pattern. That was for the inserts on the seat base and seat back.

+1 go to custom interior shop. You'll save yourself tons of cash and have the option to customize it (material, stitching) to however you want. This will be my next project as well as I want some quilted black leather with white stitching.
And as for sound, yeah, get sound dampening material. I have half a box left of Damplifier Pro if you're interested which should be enough to cover the doors. Best performing first layer sound dampening material out there.

What do you plan to replace the black leather with? Seats or panels??
I am tempted to do the sound damping together w/ the leather panels & brabus door pins..
(since have to take apart door panels, would perfer to get all 3 done at once)

Check out Second Skin (http://www.secondskinaudio.com/). From my research, they have the best engineered product out there.

When I test drove the W204 I found the plastic door panels not only to look/feel horrible, but I also felt they were badly insulated (cheap hollow sound when you knock on them). Subsequently I ordered the car with leather seats, and my door panels don't sound hollow at all when you knock them. I also don't feel any vibration from the speakers, but admittably I never turn the volume up that much. In any case I would suspect that leather does a better job at insulating than cheap, hard plastic.
