Navigation question C300...?
I am having a issue with the navigation of my 2009 C300...When I try to use the "By name" search for a POI, the outputs give me the location(s) no where near where I am. For instances I can be right next to a McDonald in Fayetteville, NC, but when I put it in "By Name" it seems to give me all the McDonalds in alphabetical order by location, starting with somewhere in Alabama or something else. I just want to find the nearest place. I just may be doing something wrong but I can not figure this out...
anyone....?

The manual is no help here. This is the same problem for me. I get all locations in the US prior to getting locations in Canada and then I get other provinces first.
This is a known issue.

if you know where you are or your destination location, try enter either zip code or town name in the address field (destination entry) then go to poi there (don't use the nearby poi function if you want to spell the name)

Agree about the manual...
The manual gives me no help...I just spoke with a rep at the MB Service center, which he tested that feature with a vehicle there and came up with the same issue, in which he had no fix for. They gave me some statement/excuse, that only certain places have paid to be on the software....huh?

My (W203) navi does the exact same thing. I thought it was some kind of bug and they would have learned WTF they're doing by now!! You've got to be kidding me!! I entered "Home Depot" and got one 3000 miles away at the top of the list.

To answer ur question i actually used my teli aid and ask this same question, answer, our nav system dosent work that way, u cant find pos places like that, the only way u can get specific on a location is by number or address, yeah it blows.

Yea I remember this issue with mine and I think the only way around it is to just go to enter POI and pick the location you want, then pick the category and then the name...if you do it like that it's fine

yeah but they will only give u certain type of places, ex. gas stations, banks, ect. which are the closest things to ur position at the time, like i said only way to get "exact" places is to either get lucky or use phone number or address.
