Where do you look to find out your car's manufacture date?

Open the drivers side door and look at the sticker on the inside door frame. It will give you a month and year but not an exact date.

Your dealer can tell you because it's in their database. Just yesterday the Service manager looked mine up for me. Sept 7, 2007. Which means my car is affected by the rear brake pad TSB.

For most MBs you can get the data card from the Russian site. Just find the VIN an enter here: http://old.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng

If the VIN is not known or if you want a more up-to-date translation of the option codes, subscribe to EPC and read the data card on line from MB (or ask someone from the forum to do it, 50% of forum members must have access).
