broke the windshield. When you take off the wipers the pin where the wiper goes on is supposed to be perpendicular to the windshield. I found out that mine were horribly off angle to the windshield. I put towel around all over the car, EXCEPT where the windshield wiper would go when it goes on the windshield. You take two adjustable wrenches, rotate the end of the wiper arm until the pin is perpendicular to the windshield. One wrench is turning the arm, the other is turning the other way so that the wiper arm assembly wouldn't be stressed. When the pin is perpendicular to the windshield, you are done. I noticed smoother action with less squeaking right away. But during the last adjustment, the arm slipped from my hand and hit the windshield. Now I have nice spider webbing on the windshield. Traded a minor annoyance for a major repair. Be careful when you do this my friends.

Never even thought to check that the wiper bracket was level to the glass...will have to take a look in the morning.
