Vinyl Wrap?
Not sure if this is the correct term, but I remember there was a thread in which one member wrapped his car in some sort of vinyl/matte wrap?? Does anyone know where i can get a small bit of this kind of material, i would like to wrap a lip spoiler.

Is this typically what's done to tint tail lights?
EDIT: just found a site that has this for the w204.

hey i was actually lookin for film shades for my fogs, that's a good site.
But I want something to vinyl a spoiler. I checked Azn site, and found something I believe to be what I want, for a small price. Not sure if that's it though.. It says it comes with installation kit? Has anyone done this? is it fairly easy?
I also noticed a Carbon fiber wrap here..
http://www.rvinyl.com/wrapkits/vinyl/carbonfiber2.htm Does anyone know if this come with installation kit/instructions?
Seriously, I sound and im probably a noob, but i don't know a thing about customizing cars, but would sure like to start somewhere.

I ordered from stickercity about a week ago . . shipping was pretty fast (CA to NY) Inside the package you'll have a squeegee as well as instructions on applying the vinyl. Vinyl is fairly easy to deal with so I doubt you'll run into any type of trouble.

Anyone thinking about having this CF wrapped on your diffuser? Would it stand the heat from exhaust?

use a water spray bottle, mix in a drop of dish soap and fill with water....lightly mist any area you want to apply vinyl on, place over and squeegee until you get all the water out, let dry. also depends on the quality of the vinyl and where you want it to go. use a heat gun to soften the vinyl in corners. and i dont know if you are gonna be using masking tape to help apply and remove. masking tape helps not scratch the vinyl when you squeegee, when dry, just remove the masking tape.

advice...take your time and do it in a clean environment. I guarantee you you'll place, rip, place, rip a few times before you get it right...just be patient. Do it indoors if possible and in as dust free an area you have, or at least give the dust time to settle before final wipe down and first application.
Also, should be obvious, but seen people try it...Don't try wrapping a large sheet of vinyl over it and cut it while it's on the piece. Measure first, make a mold, cut the vinyl, then apply.

I believe that's just a photoshop pic if I remember correctly. I think that piece would be somewhat difficult to wrap due to the size and curvature, especially if you plan on just a single sheet with no breaks.... I'd remove the center grille before doing it to get a cleaner wrap at least.
