Mercedes C350
New to MB Forum
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a pre-owned 2008 C350 fully loaded with all the possible options and metallic steel grey in color. This is my second Mercedes in 5 years and I love it so far.
I have a couple of questions:
1) Has anyone tried copying a MP3 CD to HDD directly? I would think that's the fastest and best way of transferring music to HDD. When I tried it last night, it doesnt give me the option of copying using music register. I would think that most people would transfer music to the HDD and play it from there.
2) Is anyone getting a lot of wind noise. When my car is above 30MPH, I get a lot of wind noise and even more on higher speeds.
BTW, I love this forum and have already got great tips from here. Thanks to all!!

Congrats on your new ride. The new Cs tend to have more wind noise than the old ones. Seems like the big side mirrors are the likely culprit although you may have some coming from poorly fitted door seals and trim. Can you locate the area where most of the noise is coming from?

welcome to the forums and congrats on your new MB.
One advice I always give new forum members. Use the search function. If you have a question, chances are someone already had the same question and there's a thread or two on the subject already.

Austin, TX. I have only driven the car for a couple of days now so not sure where the noise is coming from specifically. Have a service A coming up in a couple of months so I am planning on getting it checked up at the dealer. I did see other folks complaining about the same problem on this forum and infact someone has also lodged an official complain with MB.

anyone tried copying a MP3 CD to the HDD? not sure if the HDD is really useful unless you can copy MP3's directly on the HDD. believe it should be much faster too compared to copying from a CD to the HDD. took a long time when i did that with just 5 songs last night.

FYI - I just use an mp3 player (actually the Mercedes of portable player recorders, a Olympus PCM LS-10) and use the connector in the glove compartment to play any recording... until I figure out which COMAND module replacement to swap..

Window seal...
Good call on that.. More times then not it's the window seal "weather strip" that gets folded towards the top making the window go up crooked or something in the regulator that causes this and that baby crack causes soo much noise my God..
