MP3 PROBLEMS
Has anyone had an issue with playing music burned on CD's or DVD's in the "Data" format from iTunes in their MM changer?
Everytime I burn either and play them in my car, the car only shows every other song...for example, burned 108 songs on a cd, only 40 show up in the car and it displays them in the folder as 1 2 4 6 7 8 10 12 14 15 17 19 21 22 24 ...etc
any ideas i'm lost...
is this my car or the way my computer is burning cds?
any thoughts are MUCH appreciated...transfering music through normal cd coding is just not efficient...

Your burning a data disc of MP3s... be sure that none of those songs are purchased through iTunes and are actually AAC protected format. "Purchased AACs" are just fine, but older iTunes stuff that tended to be "Protected AAC" format will not play on the benz (or any car for that matter) that can't handle digital rights management (DRM) protected content...

I think your problem might be those songs you downloaded from itune store are copy protected and can not play on other devices..(pre 1/6/09 downloads)
Try google itune DRM removal and burn those files again..
