HID Lifespan
Is it a good idea to have "daytime running lights" turned on if you have HIDs?
I mean, I have a pretty long commute, if my HIDs are on 2 hours everyday, would I need to get new ones after 1 year? 2 years?
Thanks!

2500 hours: 70% light output
Hella for example gives life expectancies of 3000 hours which means roughly 22500 starts.
If you like DRL then go for it. You'd have to change them anyways after 4 years and the cost doesn't weigh up to the amount of hours they will have been used.

1 - 4 years based on quality. The more expensive kits usually hold 3 - 4 years. DDM offers lifetime warranty which has me wondering whether they will replace the kit if it goes out a few years from now
