Best advise I've seen: get the C350. The larger engine won't let you miss anything. Otherwise go to the AMG or BMW bi-turbo, but these are too much for standard commuting. The 7-speed adds to the power of the engine and if 155 mph are not good enough then you need the aforementioned special wheel options (beaucoup de dollars up, specially to stay out of jail).

I've gone back to look at both cars. I'm OK with the C300's power (or lack thereof). The difference is that the C300 has a really bleak interior--especially on the passenger's side dash. That's cheap looking. Also, the ipod/iphone integration is not as good. Its fine...just not as good. Lastly, not a fan of staggered tires. Bottom line, I want to walk away, but still can't. If I can get a slightly better deal--it may still be in my garage within a week or so.

2008 Obsidian Black C300 Sport 6 spd
I switched from an '05 325ci to an 08 C300 6 speed. mainly cause I like the new look of the C-class better than the new look 3. Also, better interior quality and I think it exudes more class than the 3. But that is just my opinion.
On a side note, I have received way more attention from the ladies with the C than I did with the 325.
