MB Wheel and Tire Service Package coverage

Hi All,

Does anyone know what the MB Wheel and Tire service package option cover? I believe this is a seperate option (like an extended warranty) that you can buy from the dealership for the tires. Also, does this cover only the first set of tires or is this a lifetime warranty that covers any tires you install on the car i.e. OEM or non-OEM.

thanks,
Vishal

When I got my C300 they had 2 packages available. I don't remember the price but there was one package that covered ONLY damage caused by a road hazard (pothole, nail, etc.) then for $100 there is another package that covers ALL damage...even if you hit a curb. I got this one

My package was $1,000. Covers OEM and Aftermarket as long as you "register" the wheels with the dealer.

I've already had 2 tires replaced cuz of a nail puncture. Well worth it IMO. My dealer is autonation, and I believe that's an autonation only thing, not sure though.

That's what I have, plus it covers windshield cracks (I believe ones not requiring replacement), and body dents (not dings). And it's 5 year insurance.

I got mine cuz I have stock 20's and afraid of tire bubles, which are covered by the tire/rim protection. Also if you blow a tire and bent a rim it's also covered.

Bottom line:
All depends how much you drive on crappy roads and how much you are willing to pay for piece of mind.

And make sure you know what is covered, as coverage and terms seem to vary from dealer to dealer.
