guys, i am getting tired of taking my car to MB service...

lynnfield, MA - took it there and was told they fixed it (took it back twice)

scarborough, ME - took it there and they replaced the clips (took it once)

today, i was stuck in traffic and as soon i accelerate lightly, i hear squeeky noises from 0mph to 10-15mph


you guys have dealt with this situation? it sounded like the parking brakes were still active but it was not!

 

Is it coming from your brakes? I had the same problem but only when braking in traffic. I replaced my front break pads and the problem went away for good.

 

nope, only when i accellerate very lightly up to 10-15mph, it was squeeking like crazy

 

yup i had that problem... went back about 4 times... then they changed the whole parking brake system... some bull**** about rust building up**


sadly like you i am starting to hear it again... ill bring it up when i go in for service.


**temporary fix = pressing the foot brake all the way down then releasing it seems to help with the noise...

pretty disappointing tho.

 

yeah it is disappointing... and it is my first Mercedes

 

i get the squeek while going over speed bumps at 10km / hr .. but... i did lower my car.. and i suspect it might be the H&R springs.

 

Mine comes from the rear left tire. I think it may be the brake dust disc on the backside of the rotor....or not, but its #1 on my list
