Wait, does that 4-Matic comment mean that most C-Classes aren't made in Germany?

 

for sure the 4-matics are made in Germany, and most likely the C350 but I am not 100% sure on that. The sport and luxury C300 are made in South America.

I noticed your nav has the popup screen as previous years, do the European market w204 have the fixed screen with the dash hump?

Do you have the perforated sections of the steering wheel at the two spokes?

 

That sucks. I knew some (all?) SUV's were not built in Germany, but I wasn't sure if the C was. Personally, I couldn't own an M-B unless it was actually assembled in Germany, just couldn't get over that.

I work for a dealer but I am glad we haven't got any of the 2010 C class yet since we are over stock on C300 4matics.....

@ OP, can you post your COMAND firmware version (I presume you can access this info through engineering menu - hold down end call, #, and 1 at the same time). TIA!!

 

Weird. In montreal they are selling record numbers of these things. I guess in Alberta everyone drives S classes!

I'm confused.. I have a canadian 09 c300 and it has exactly everything you car has minus the updated side mirrors... Same keyfob, same interior, same everything..

 

Canada options and US options are different. You guys have more options which is why your cars cost more. His car is a US-Spec.

what are the chances of there being a nav update for the 2009's to get traffic and better ipod interface for multimedia packaged cars?

 

Highly unlikely...live traffic update for the 2010 might have to do w/ a different chip inside the MM which enable the system to receive FM traffic update both in Europe and here in North America..
As far as display iPod info fom the MM screen...UCI and iPod interface are 2 totally different thing..don't think iPod interface was ever designed to display over center screen..

 

the traffic comes from sirius so theoretically, the "chip" is already installed

 

I just picked up my 09' C300 today with the MM and iPod package, but I can't select the songs/artist from the screen. Will I be able to get the software for that? Or I'm just out of luck?

 

Ive placed a call-in to my dealer to inquire on this; they are lookinng into it and will provide me with an answer on 8/3. Will post here with what they say.

Bad news...no such update currently exists that will enable traffic information on 08/09 COMAND units. I am hopeful that a future software update will address this (as the case when 09 model included BT update & audio fade; an update that addressed 08 units followed).

 

I have the same issue. When I connect it, it says "iPod>" but doesn't give me track info. Did you ever figure it out or get around it?
