Blackberry Curve Voice Dialing
Hi all,
I have a Canadian 2009 C300 without Navigation (no voice commands) I have my Berry paired to the car's Bluetooth system and phonebook transferred. I can make and receive calls perfectly.
Prior to this car, I used to use a Bluetooth handsfree device called Motorola T505 and it utilizes the Berry's voice dialing feature. By pressing the "dial" button on the T505 it would ask "say a command" which is the Berry's voice dialing prompt then I would say something like "call home" and it would dial my home number.
I can't seem to get that prompt when paired with the car's Bluetooth system. Does any kind soul out there have this working or know of which button in the car to press to activate the Berry's voice dialing prompt?
Thanks!

Yes, my berry has the voice dialing feature but can only be activated on the berry itself and not through any buttons that I could find in the car (steering wheel, console audio stack).

htsui,
I have bad news. The MB Bluetooth in the C Class does not support the Voice-Dial protocols.
Like you, I had a Motorola T505. All you had to do was press the dial button and you could dial a number (by saying the digits) or select from the phone book. It worked on my Blackberry and my wife's RAZR. I was disappointed to find the Benz does not support this function.
You are going to have to go back to the last century and either dial manually (the key pad on the dashboard DOES work) or select a number from the phone book (after you have transfered it from your BB to the car).
Cheers,
Nick
