Is this usual bodyshop's doing?

I wonder if there is possibility for bodyshop to use "USED" part for repair.

I replaced damaged hood but I am pretty skeptical that they used new hood and got it fresh painted.

I have been very careful about swirls and spider-web like scratches. The replaced and fresh painted hood got a lot of swirls and spider-web like scratches. I cannot believe this hood was fresh painted.

In addition, they added some minor damages front-pillar (I am not sure this term is correct), which I guess was made during the hood was attached.

I am so frustrated ... I will reveal this bodyshop id (associated with a MB dealership) later FYI.

Give me some advice. Thank you.

Go over there and explain the faults to them and tell them to fix it. If they will not cooperate: try a more aggressive way.

An insurance company may insist on a "refurbished" body part if it was available -- to save them cost. But in most cases even these parts need to be colour matched to your vehicle, which means they would have to be repainted. I have never seen a reputable body shop just pull a hood off another car and slap it on for the job.

What does the itemized bill of work say?

As for any additional damage done to you car, that would definitely be an issue you take up with the shop. There is no excuse for that.
