Rear seat entertainment in C-Class?

Was browsning the MB accessory site ODUS and stumbled across the rear seat entertainment package for the GLK:

Why isnt this available for the C model?
I have spent some time now browsing wiring diagrams, thinking of a way to retrofit this feature, the GLK is basicly a C-Class with a new body on it the telematics are all the same.
Sweet thing is that the system is connected to the Comand unit, uses wireless headphones, a remote and a separate DVD-player in the back seat.

Gotta check out some prices and stuff at work tomorrow, - to be continued.

Not a fan these exposed headrest monitors, they look like an invite for thieves.

I picked up a set of monitors (one has a DVD in it) and a set of generice headrest mounts. Never really used them.

I love how it's wired to the command unit, but as far as looks, it just looks like aftermarket dvd players that mounts on the headrest. I have a Philips portable dvd player that looks very similar (10 inch monitor). I never use it though, i rarely have passengers. It would be great if you have.

Good point.

Seriously any safety implications if there is a collision?

All right, this mod wont happen

The above kit including two screens and the DVD player cost ~2400 US dineros
And this is without the preinstall with all the cables.

Wow. I was liking it until that post...

My kids would be a lot easier to deal with on long trips if I had something like that.

I've been thinking of the VIM module, but the screen isn't as easy to see from the back seat. Any further suggestions (that don't look like crap)?

I've had rear seat DVD in my last few vehicles at great expense. This C is our first car without and for good reason. I find now with mobile electronics a PSP or Itouch to work much better.
