it probably wouldn't look so ridiculous if the color matched the car.. but I personally think its just as stupid as the c63 style fender flares on ebay.

I think it takes away from the car because you've got some nice lines there that would be deminished by that "thing".

If you must have it, it definitely needs to be painted (the black sticks out like a sore thumb).
Also, it should be functional (the bumper should be cut to allow for venting) -- I don't know what's behind the bumper in that location though.

Personally, I'm against non-functional stick on vents. They might look decent in picture, but would easily be identified as such live.
