Parking assistance
Is it really true that you can't get factory installed parking assistance in the US? I had a limited selection of US Spec vehicles I could order from Stuttgart, but I can't imagine that you can't get the nice parking assistance like in europe? I added the mercedes dealership aftermarket quickpark and it's bad enough I didn't get the visual indicator on the dashboard but it looks like crap. I've ordered the European C63 rear bumper with parking assistance integrated but I'm still dumbfounded by the idea that the US spec simply doesn't have this available.
Here's the pics so you can see what I'm talking about, notice the european sensors are flush to the bumper while the US spec has rings hanging off the bumper.

Here's a rough photoshop I did just to overlay my old and new bumpers. If I skipped the Quick Park all together, and went straight to the C63 bumper and added the Park Assist system, I would have probably only spent an extra 600 euro. I think it's a much cleaner look. Unfortunately, I've bought them both, mostly because driving / seeing all the euro models I expected the same on the US model. Oh well, don't make my mistake.
