I've had Blizzaks and they are great in snow but squirrely on wet pavement. So this time I bought Nokian WRG2's (from Finland) online from a Tire Factory store in Michigan. Cheaper than in Seattle even with shipping.

Dunlop WinterSport M3's are great in snow, rain, and they don't wear too bad on dry pavement as well. Best thing is that while they're great on snow, the feel on dry roads is good enough to really charge through the mountains - even on the snow tires.

Interesting.....were your Blizzaks the WS60? They make different types and these are the replacement for studded tires...I did not experience wet road problems, but in the snow, my rwd car was outstanding!

I've got the Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds on my winter wheels and they handle just great on snow, rain, and the crap that we had last winter in Seattle.
